Former site of a hōanden (奉安殿) at the Asahi National School (朝日國民學校) in Hualien City. The school was originally established in 1910 as Hualien Port Ordinary Higher Elementary School (花蓮港尋常高等小學校), a Japanese-only institution, and was renamed after the 1941 national school reform that unified the colonial school system. The site is now the activity center of Huagang Junior High School (花崗國中).
