Opened in 1976 with the support of the military. It was a second-run theater with cheap tickets for service members and civilians alike so it was very prosperous in the early years. However, the military then began to build entertainment centers on base, and with the widespread popularization of television and home video in the 1980s, business plummeted. Out of business by 1987. Later replaced by Hotel Royal Hsinchu (新竹老爺酒店).
