A former military dependents’ village constructed for ROCAF engineers over a period from 1954 until 1961, their families having first been lodged in idle buildings of the former naval fuel factory nearby. At its peak it had around 218 households. Many residents moved to more modern apartments in 1975, hollowing out the old community, and it was later demolished in the 2010s. A small stone monument still marks the entrance to the community.
