Shuifen Shinto Shrine (白冷圳水分社) - Spectral Codex
白冷圳水分社

A Shinto shrine built near the intake valve of Baileng Canal (白冷圳), completed in May 1932, possibly in association with Baishui Sugarcane Breeding Institute (白水蔗苗養成所). It was mostly destroyed sometime after the war; around 1954 its foundation stones were repurposed to build a monument marking the completion of the canal’s backwater irrigation works (回水紀念碑). The original landscaping can still be discerned, and the steps of the visiting path are also mostly unchanged except by exposure to the elements. It may have been known as Suibun-sha in the original Japanese.
