谷關水力發電廠

An iconic power plant designed in a Chinese style in the mountainous interior of Taichung. Completed in 1961 with US assistance, it was the first major power project since the end of the Japanese colonial era. Damaged beyond repair in the 921 Earthquake. Public access prohibited.
