A children’s amusement park established as Fairytale World (童話世界) in the 1980s. Since it is upstream of Shimen Dam development was prohibited and the park closed. Eventually the site was sold to the Rinzai sect and renamed Buddha World (佛陀世界), although it typically isn’t open to the public except on a limited basis on weekends, and little effort has been undertaken to clean up the ruins throughout the former amusement park.
