The last of the six original city gates of Fongshan. It was originally completed in 1838 and formally named Tongyi Gate (同儀門). Immediately to the west, just inside the former city wall, is the historic Blacksmith Street (打鐵街). Dongfu Bridge (東福橋) spans the river to the east. This bridge, originally constructed in 1841, was washed away in 2001 during Typhoon Trami, but the piers were collected and installed as a monument in the parklands just south of the gate.
