Established around 1931 as Hōzan-za (鳳山座), a performance venue with a capacity of 1,000. Since it was the second venue in town it was also known simply as the New Theater. After the war it was purchased by a Taiwanese-owned trading company (大觀商事買) and renamed Daguan Theater (大觀戲院), though it seems the name never really stuck, as it is generally known simple as Fengshan Theater. Demolished long ago and replaced by a department store (A+1精品百貨) for a time, and more recently a branch of World Gym.
