Former residence of the district leader of Fenglin in Japanese colonial times. It was later the residence of a principal of a local school. After recognizing its heritage value the cultural bureau transformed it into a small museum to the many school principals originating in Fenglin. There is also a ritual paper incinerator outside, a nod to Fenglin’s strong Hakka roots, but if I’m not mistaken, it’s a replica. No English on site.
