A syncretic temple built in 1994 that defies easy categorization. Deities are assigned ROC government positions in a divine cabinet; Xuanwu (玄天上帝) is premier; Chenghuang (城隍爺), the City God, is president of the Legislative Yuan; and Soong Mei-ling (蔣宋美齡) is worshipped as “Mother of China” (中華聖母) overseeing the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The temple raises the ROC flag on the 1st and 15th of each lunar month from an octagonal platform labeled with the eight ministries. A Chiang Kai-shek statue stands in the grounds beside a phallic sculpture, both placements allegedly divinely ordained. The temple gained attention as a patriotic counterpoint when neighboring Biyun Temple was flying PRC flags in the late 2010s. Also appears as Dingguo Temple (定國寺) on Google Maps.
