The least well-known of all the remaining salt police watchtowers in coastal Taiwan. It once guarded the approach to Xincuo Salt Field (新厝土盤鹽田), later designated the No. 4 Production Area (第四生產區) of Budai Saltworks. It was likely established in 1948, but historic records are scant. As of the 2020s it is still standing amidst aquaculture ponds next to the highway.
