A stop on the Mianyue Line (眠月線), a branch of the Alishan Forest Railway in Alishan, added in 1983 when the former logging line was converted for tourism. It had a single wooden platform and two tracks. The 921 Earthquake wrecked the line in 1999 and it never reopened. Images of the abandoned tracks, tunnels, and trestle bridges have since spread widely on social media, drawing a steady stream of hikers.
