A small station on the Alishan Line (阿里山線) at 1186 meters elevation. It was established in 1910, although the current station house dates to much later than that. As with other stops on this line it was abandoned for a time and then reactivated for tourism purposes. Nowadays the old station is a bat ecology center offering some insight into the abandoned No. 39 Railway Tunnel (舊33號隧道) and its population of bats.
