Taipei Camera Street (台北相機街) - Spectral Codex
Taipei Camera Street (台北相機街)

A dense cluster of camera and photography equipment shops concentrated around the intersection of Bo’ai Road (博愛路) and Hankou Street (漢口街), just south of the old North Gate of Taipei and Taipei Post Office. The district is one of several wholesale clusters that took root near Taipei Station in the decades when rail was the primary means of moving goods, drawing buyers from central and southern Taiwan who had to travel to the capital to source stock. Officially known as the Beimen Camera Commercial District (北門相機商圈), dozens of the shops are united under a uniform signage scheme, with many of the longer-running businesses having operated for several decades.
