The remains of a pineapple cannery on the northwestern margins of Yuli, built in 1966 by the Taiwan Pineapple Company (臺灣鳳梨公司). The factory occupied some twenty hectares, and the company leased a further hundred-odd hectares of provincial hillside near Sanmin (三民) for a plantation, at its height turning out more than 600,000 cases of canned pineapple a year. It closed in 1981 and the site fell into disrepair, leaving roofless concrete shells and a towering chimney at the edge of town. Most of the site, including the chimney, appears to have been dismantled around 2023, though traces may remain across the sprawling compound.
