Established in 1965 by Indonesian Chinese entrepreneur Rao Youmei (饒友梅) as the second theater in Yonghe. The name “Lehua” (樂華) means “happily arriving in the Republic of China”. The theater’s presence attracted commerce and foot traffic that eventually gave rise to the famous Lehua Night Market (樂華夜市). It closed in 1998 after over 30 years in operation. The site was redeveloped by Yonghe-based Jiangjie (將捷) into the Lehua Jiangjie Commercial Building (樂華將捷商業大樓), completed in 2001, which now houses a branch of the Cash Box KTV (錢櫃KTV) chain.
