A small stone monument honoring the animals who gave their lives for human consumption. It was originally erected next to Dalongdong Slaughterhouse in Datong District in 1931 and only moved here to the gates of Tianbao Temple (天寶宮) in the mid-1970s. A shrine has been constructed beneath the monument and you may notice animal figurines inside. It is among the oldest surviving monuments of its kind in Taiwan.
