A small yin shrine and rest area in an old coal mining area at the edge of the Taipei Basin. It was completed in the early 1980s to accommodate the many urns containing unidentified remains that had collected in small cave on this site. Owing to its origin as a paupers’ grave, you might notice the traditional practice of lighting cigarettes rather than incense to honor the departed at an open-air altar (永安祠). The second alter is a more typical land god shrine.
