A small sugar railway station was constructed here in 1911. It provided passenger service until 1982 and freight service until 1998. The wooden station was demolished in 2001, leaving only the tracks and a small clearing, but it was later rebuilt as part of a rural-themed amusement park. It is also known simply as Bantou Station (板頭車站).
