A temple venerating 108 militia members and one dog killed in a night raid by Lin Shuangwen’s forces during the rebellion of 1787. The Qianlong Emperor bestowed the title “Valiant Righteousness” (旌義) on the fallen defenders; their remains were collected and interred in three communal graves with a memorial pavilion. In 1863 sixteen more defenders killed resisting Dai Chaochun’s incursion were added. A side altar enshrines a canine deity, Righteous Dog General (義犬將軍), said to guard children. It is located in Beigang, Yunlin.
