Established in 1976, it was a fashionable theater on the ninth floor of a high-rise building in Ximending, but the good times didn’t last long. It was sold to Huang Bingxi (黃炳熙) and converted into a second-run theater around the early 1990s, and by the mid-1990s it switched to screening adult content, for which it became widely known throughout Taipei. In 2007 the owner faced criminal charges, and by 2012 the theater went out of business. Allegedly the site was converted into a hotel at some point thereafter.
