Established in the 1930s as Tōen-za (桃園座), a venue for traditional opera and other performances. It was renamed after the war and may have been completely rebuilt at some point. In its later years it was notorious for screening adult films and mainly attracting a clientele of old men. May have also been known as Jintaoyuan Theater (金桃園大戲院), although this may have only been a formal title used in business records. Closed in 1995 and demolished sometime later, leaving an empty lot. Eventually a new commercial tower was built on the original site.
