A Japanese colonial era timber house in West District, Taichung, built by a private owner on land leased from the Taichung Prefecture government. Descendants of the Wufeng Lin family (霧峰林家) acquired it in 1961 but the residence changed hands several more times before passing to the city government in 2012. It stands beside the site of Xianguang No. 7 Village, a military dependents’ village. It was registered as a historic building in 2016 as the last well-preserved Japanese timber dormitory within the immediate vicinity of Taichung Prefecture Hall, near the Datun District Office. It has yet to be restored and activated.
