Originally established as Xiping Theater (西平戲院) on the west side of Taichung. It was later renamed, but the circumstances are unclear. Presumably it was operating in the 1960s and 1970s, but it may have been founded in the 1950s. Located around the intersection of Wuquan Road (五權路) and Duxing Road (篤行路), where Zhongyang Market (中央市場) is located.
