A former Japanese colonial era administrative center along Beikeng Creek Historic Trail (北坑溪古道) in the mountains of Miaoli. It was established in 1923 and featured a police station, martial arts hall for training, and dormitories for the officers stationed along this remote trail. Nowadays almost nothing remains aside from the foundations of various buildings and landscaping indicating human settlement.
