An obscure Japanese colonial era monument erected in 1935, deep into the mountains of Nanzhuang, Miaoli. It commemorates several police officers who perished on patrols in the area. It is accessible from the police station immediately to the north, but watch out for dogs! Officially registered as a heritage property as Old Hsinchu Prefecture Patrol Monument (故新竹廳巡查五十嵐常輝外拾名之碑).
