A performing arts complex in Shilin, Taipei, designed by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of OMA in partnership with local architect Kris Yao (姚仁喜), winners of an international competition held in 2008. Three auditoriums protrude from a main block wrapped in corrugated glass: a 1,500-seat grand theater, a spherical 800-seat playhouse, and a 500-seat hall that can be opened to the grand theater to form a single stage 65 meters long. Construction began in 2012 on the former site of the temporary Shilin Night Market, stalled when the contractor went bankrupt in 2016, and finished only in 2021, with the official opening following in July 2022.
