A Japanese colonial era Shinto shrine dedicated to water and established in April 1938 in the hills next to what is now Jiantan MRT Station. This was an institutional shrine (構內社) of the Caoshan Waterworks Yuanshan Reservoir (草山水道系統圓山貯水池) and one of only five official water-deity shrines in Japanese colonial era Taiwan. Surviving remnants include the original stone pedestal, stone lanterns, visiting path, and an ablution basin (手水缽). It was vandalized in 2017 and the male statue of the original pair of komainu was stolen.
