Old Sandiaoling Railway Tunnel (舊三貂嶺隧道) - Spectral Codex

Completed in August 1922, this 1,852 meter-long railway tunnel drastically shortened travel times from Ruifang to Mudan, and a year later facilitated onward transportation to Yilan County by rail. It was abolished in 1985 after a new double-track tunnel was built nearby. Recognized for its heritage value in 2019, the tunnel reopened to the public for its centennial in 2022. Also included in the heritage designation is the 110 meter-long Sanguazi Tunnel (三爪子隧道) immediately to the north.
