Yuanchang (元長) is an agricultural township in southwestern Yunlin named after Fu Yuanzhang (傅元掌), a philanthropic Qing dynasty settler from Quanzhou. The township remains a quiet farming area; perhaps its most notable landmark is Wayao Village Public Hall, a 1931 village assembly hall and one of the few of its kind to survive, which was registered as a heritage site and restored in 2025.
