A newly-built Tibetan Buddhist temple in the Yuanchang countryside. The palace-style main hall represents Zangdok Palri (桑多巴利), the Copper-Colored Mountain pure land of Padmasambhava (蓮師), and stands as one of the few examples of Tibetan monastic architecture in Taiwan. The project grew out of decades of teaching visits to Taiwan by the Palyul throne-holder Penor Rinpoche (貝諾法王). In 2009 Kasang Rinpoche (嘎桑仁波切) initiated the construction of two treasure stupas (大伏藏舍利塔), completed and consecrated in 2010 with the intent of shielding the island from typhoons and earthquakes. This was followed by the construction of a large hall in the early 2020s, which was subsequently consecrated in a large ceremony in 2025.
