A temple on Baguashan (八卦山) in Nantou City, established by settlers from Zhangpu (漳浦) in Fujian who named the surrounding village Zhangpuliao (樟普寮) following their arrival in 1732. Its principal deity is Guanyin, worshipped here alongside a roster of Buddhist and Daoist figures. The temple is most notable for its Five Garrisons (五營), a set of perimeter shrines whose guardian generals are woven from rice straw and replaced each year after the harvest. A similar straw-warrior custom is practiced at Gangkou Yong’an Temple in Su’ao.
