A dilapidated old mixed-use building at the southern terminus of the Zhongshan Pedestrian Bridge. It was originally built to house vendors who congregated at the top (公園頂) of the former Takasago Park, which has vanished into history. When it was new it was a bustling place with many shops similar to what you’ll now find on Huaxi Street in Taipei—including the live snake shows. Over the years it has emptied out; most of the units on the second level are vacant while a handful of businesses cling to life in the arcade downstairs. Not to be confused with the Mingde Building further east, one of the Sanliandong Buildings.
