Established in the late 1960s on the second floor of the newly expanded Ren’ai Market (仁愛市場) building. It was notorious for screening adult films prior to being demolished, along with the market, in 1983. A vastly expanded Ren’ai Market building reopened in 1986 without a cinema. Also known as Jiyi Theater (基一戲院) or Diyi Theater (第一戲院), although it isn’t clear whether these were ever its formal name.
