Gaochunlou

A Japanese colonial era restaurant on Guangming Street, once part of Hengchun’s entertainment district alongside public baths and Hengchun Theater. During the Shōwa era it was a prestigious establishment employing geishas trained in Japan to entertain officials. After the war it served various purposes including an air force facility and hospital before it returned to its original function as Kitchen Swell (波波廚房).
