Hengchun Shipai Park (恆春石牌公園) - Spectral Codex
恆春石牌公園

A small park on the northwest side of Hengchun collecting several Japanese colonial era monuments relocated or preserved here over the years. These include the Loyal Soul Monument (忠魂碑) on a small hill named Houdongshan (猴洞山) which commemorating fallen Japanese soldiers; the Arms Preparation Memorial (兵器整備紀念碑) from around 1937 to 1939; and the base of the Japanese Army Hengchun Conquest Memorial (日軍攻陷恆春城紀念碑) marking the November 1895 capture of the city. A boundary marker for the southernmost point of Japanese Taiwan (日本統治臺灣最南端界碑) is also said to exist here.
