An ROCAF military dependents’ village on Shanying Road (山鶯路) in Guishan that began as a few households on private land and expanded in 1968 when the National Women’s League (婦聯會) funded 62 wooden homes for air force families relocated from Dayuan. Residents were rehoused in the redevelopment of nearby Luguang No. 2 Village, and the site, cleared in the late 2000s, is now a municipal parking lot. Known locally as Hilltop Village (山頂村), it housed mainly pilots of the 4th and 35th squadrons, and many of their wives commuted by shuttle bus to jobs with the US Military Assistance Advisory Group in Taipei.
