An unranked shrine (無格社) established as Toroku-jinja in Douliu, Yunlin in October 1929 to commemorate the enthronement of Emperor Hirohito. It was dismantled after the war and, along with the existing Toroku Ordinary and Higher Elementary School (斗六尋常高等小學校), the entire site was converted into Douliu Senior High School (斗六高中校). Fragments of the original shrine still exist in the form of a sacred bridge (神橋) on campus and a bronze horse (銅馬) now displayed in front of the nearby Shanxiu Temple (善修宮). There was a second horse but it was stolen and its whereabouts are presently unknown. The original shrine entrance would have been to the south, and the main hall was located on what is now Zhongzheng Hall (中正堂) on the school campus. The bridge stands behind the school buildings, beyond the basketball courts; visitors must sign in at the campus gatehouse to view it.
This shrine also had at least nine auxiliary shrines in the surrounding area. Such relationships were not uncommon in the Japanese colonial era, but they are seldom documented quite so well. Those related sites include: Kikoashi Shinto Shrine (樹子腳神社), Chikuishi Shinto Shrine (竹圍子神社), Mizukokai Shinto Shrine (溝子垻神社), Nairin Shinto Shrine (內林神社), Okitazei Shrine (大北勢神社), Sekiryu Shrine (石榴班神社), Kantoucuo Shinto Shrine (崁頭厝末社), Keihenseki Shinto Shrine (溪邊厝神社), and Gukeng Shinto Shrine (古坑神社).
