One of two semi-abandoned buildings on Wanshan (丸山), a scenic hilltop in Dongshan, Yilan. This was originally a Dominican monastery, completed in 1956, and later a seminary, but it was left idle in 1971 after the priests moved out. In 1976 the site was converted into a facility for children with special needs by an Italian priest, Father Joseph Lu (呂若瑟神父). As government schools gradually absorbed the role of special-needs education, the center pivoted toward life-skills training. After the center relocated to a more modern building in 2005 this site was again left to the elements. As of 2024 the site is behind a gate and guarded. It is also known as the Yilan Enlightenment Center (宜蘭啟智中心).
