An entire company town was built around this oilfield in the hills of Dongshan complete with a fully functioning movie theater. Formally it was the Oilfield Activity Center (礦場康樂中心), and it seems to have operated mainly in the 1960s. Completely demolished along with the rest of the settlement decades ago.
