Established in 1951, this large and luxurious theater had a capacity of 1,032 and specialized in screening Japanese films. By the end of the 1950s it was showing its age and it was converted into a second-run theater with more varied programming. It went out of business in 1979 and was later renovated into a large indoor ice skating rink (金萬年中央冰宮), opening in 1983 and closing only a few years later in 1986. It was later demolished.
