The lone surviving structure of the original Taipei Workshop (臺北工場), the rolling stock assembly and maintenance facility of the Japanese colonial era Railway Department, built in 1909. The main industrial site moved to Songshan in 1934 and most of the old workshop buildings were torn down or converted into staff housing; this car repair hall was retained and put to use after the war as the auditorium of the Taiwan Railways Administration. As of the mid-2020s it is undergoung restoration work just north of the Railway Department Park and is not yet open to the public as of early 2026.
