Completed in 1929, this public hall served as a venue for all manner of public gatherings and events in Beidou Township. In the post-war era it was renamed Beidou Township Zhongshan Hall (北斗鎮中山堂). It was demolished in 1993 and replaced by a building that now houses the town council and an association for the elderly.
