A military dependents’ village in Banqiao originally named Zhongzheng New Village (中正新村) prior to being renamed. After severe flooding in 1963 the site was rebuilt with funding from the Taiwan Province Import-Export Traders Association (臺灣省進出口貿易商公會) as Taimao No. 9 Village (臺貿九村). In the 1990s it was merged with Dating New Village (大庭新村) further south and the original site was eventually redeveloped into parkland and the Banqiao 435 Art Zone (板橋435藝文特區).
