One of the oldest surviving hotels in the Guanziling (關子嶺) hot springs district, originally established in 1905 as Tatsutaya (龍田屋) by a Japanese proprietor named Sekiguchi (關口氏). It was the most luxurious inn of its era, equipped with a garden, steam room, and billiard table, though it shared an outdoor bathhouse with the neighbouring Yoshidaya (吉田屋). The hotel changed hands several times during the colonial period and continued operating after the war. Several Japanese colonial era elements remain, including a garden pond and wooden guestrooms with tatami floors and sliding doors.
