A historic cemetery on Thng-sî-suann (湯匙山), a small hillock southwest of the historic settlement of Anping. The Dutch built Fort Utrecht here in 1639 to defend Fort Zeelandia but it was destroyed by bombardment during Koxinga’s siege in 1662 and no visible traces remain. The site has served as a burial ground since at least the Qing dynasty era and it is generally thought to be the oldest public cemetery in Tainan. Burials were officially prohibited in 1990. It is also sometimes known as Tangpaoshan Cemetery (湯匙山公墓) after the Mandarin Chinese name of the hill.
