A compact police housing compound of approximately 80 units built around 1960 by the provincial government hidden inside an alley off Zhonghua Road Section 2 (中華路二段409巷). Each unit was only eight píng in size, with kitchens and bathrooms shared between households. Zhangzhou Street (漳州街), for which the village is named, was a Japanese colonial era road leading to a military parade ground now occupied by Qingnian Park (青年公園); the street was absorbed into Zhonghua Road during a 1971 widening project but the name remained. Twenty units were demolished in 2019 after years of vacancy, with the remaining sixty or so still partially occupied in deteriorating condition. Its scenic decay has become the backdrop of film and television productions in the mid-2020s.
