Inaugurated in October 1939, this was a large-scale unranked (無格社) Shinto shrine on the northwest side of urban Zhongli. It was converted for use by Zhongli High School (中壢高中) after the war and progressively dismantled. Nowadays the Taoran Pavilion (陶然亭) on campus stands on the site of the honden, the refurbished bronze horse (銅馬) survives on school grounds, and its original pedestal can still be seen in a flower bed near the front of campus. Additionally, a pair of komainu were relocated to Zhongyi Temple (忠義祠).
