An ROCAF military dependents’ village of woven bamboo built in 1951 at the junction of Jinling Road (金陵路) and Longgang Road (龍岡路) in Zhongli for about 22 households, the officers and NCOs of an air force photographic technical unit. Residents were rehoused in Zili Jingzhong No. 6 Village (自立精忠六村), and the site, cleared before 2009, is now a municipal parking lot. One former resident, assigned a house here in 1955, recalls it as officers’ housing known as Dagong New Village (大公新村) before it took a name in the Jianguo series.
