Built in 1926 by the Cai family, this traditional courtyard house in Yuanli also doubled as the home of their straw hat business, Cai Quanshenghao (蔡泉盛號), founded in 1897. The complex is notable for its almost exclusive use of imported Fujian-fired bricks, including curved blocks from the official Quanzhou kilns for its round veranda columns, and timber originating from Fuzhou. Designated a county historic monument in 2006 and now open to the public.
